Rita Ora is new face of fashion brand Escada. British singer and model, Rita Ora has been named as the new brand ambassador with German fashion label Escada. The “Falling To Pieces” singer has joined the luxury German fashion brand and will be their new face for their 2019 Spring campaign.
Founded back in 1978 in Munich, Germany, Escada was a fashion favourite of the late Princess Diana and today retains royal clients from around the world as well as well-known celebrities.
28-year old Ora who is due to spearhead their SS2018 campaign, will be seen sporting a customised heart bag which will be available to buy in a bright red shade.
Talking to on-line fashion magazine, WWD, Ora said: “Escada was a brand that I grew up with, I remember seeing their campaigns as a child and thinking the women look so powerful yet relatable. The brand has always championed the message of designing for a woman by a woman.”
Escada has gone through a transformation over the past few years with the appointment of their head of global designs, Niall Sloan who was headhunted from luxury fashion label Burberry back in August 2017.
Talking about Ora’s appointment he said: Rita is a true Escada woman. Our founder made her name dressing strong women, she armed them with a wardrobe to break glass ceilings in business in the 70s, 80s and 90s and Rita embodies the spirit of those women.”
Ora’s new customised Heart bag will be available to purchase online and in Escada stores from 26th March 2019 with a percentage of each sale of the bag being donated to the charity Women for Women, which helps support women in conflict areas such as Rita’s home country of Kosovo.
