Andrea Corr launches Brown Thomas AW19 collections. Last Friday 30th August saw singer, Andrea Corr launch the annual ISPCC Brown Thomas Fashion Show.

Wearing a 16 Arlington dress from Brown Thomas, Andrea Corr acted as MC for the much-anticipated event. This year it was helping raise funds for the ISPCC.

The highlight of the season’s social calendar, the luncheon is now in its 19th year and has raised nearly €1.3 million to date for the charity.

The 370 guests were all treated to an exclusive preview of the new Autumn Winter 2019 international collections. All selected from The Designer Rooms at Brown Thomas.

The show was hosted by Brown Thomas Fashion Director Shelly Corkery and President of the ISPCC, Caroline Downey. Guests included Laura Whitmore, Iain Stirling, Claudine Keane, Roz Purcell, Sinead Burke and Pippa O’Connor.

Lots of international fashion brands on display

Guests were treated to a surprise performance from Cork singer LYRA who performed her hit song, ‘Falling’. The main highlight of the stylish event was the Brown Thomas Fashion Show. This featured this season’s trends from the international catwalks.

Autumn Winter 2019 explores romantic, vibrant and gothic themes with a return to the mystical; it’s a season that welcomes the perfect balance of minimalism and maximalism fashion across a diverse mix of trends.

Grunge is back this season with the trend ‘Tough Love’, silhouettes paired back in earthy tones in ‘Purist’. Florals make a strong appearance across all collections in ‘La Vie En Rose’ taking inspiration for the 1970s in ‘So Bourgeois’

New Victoria Beckham fashion range

Other key trends include ‘Out of Office’, ‘Daylight Disco’, ‘New Femininity’ and ‘Urban Explorer’. The catwalk show opened with Prada, Marc Jacobs and Miu Miu and highlights included Alexander McQueen, Victoria Beckham. New brands included  Bottega Veneta and Paco Rabanne.
