Taylor Swift to release collection with Stella McCartney
Taylor Swift to release collection with Stella McCartney. To celebrate the release of her new album Lover, out August 23rd, Taylor Swift announced that she is collaborating on a new collection with British fashion designer Stella McCartney.
Speaking during her Instagram Live on Thursday, Swift said: “She’s been a friend for a really long time, and also just a woman I respect so much.”
She continued: ““I respect what she creates, how she creates it.”
“There’s so much whimsy and imagination and romance to the clothing that she designs, and I’ve worn a lot of her stuff recently.”
She added: “She’s heard the new album, and this new collaboration is inspired by the Lover album. I’m so excited about that, and really excited that she would want to collaborate in this way.”
Although no details over the designs have been released, the collection will certainly be eco-friendly and sustainable to keep in line with McCartney’s ethos.
And as Taylor is currently using her music to campaign for LGBTQ+ rights, we also predict her new fashion line will be rainbow themed.
The collaboration makes perfect sense.
During her recent performance at Wango Tango for Pride Month, Swift wore a pair of McCartney’s rainbow ‘Eclipse’ trainers.
She also wore a blue gown by the designer at this year’s BAFTA’s and a pink McCartney dress for her Time 100 feature in April.
We’ll have to wait for 23 August to find out what the line looks like while listening to Lover on repeat.
