Rihanna is hoping her Fenty collection will instil confidence

Rihanna is hoping her Fenty collection will instil confidence. Chart topper come fashion designer, Rihanna has revealed how she thinks her new Fenty fashion range will instil confidence in the women of today and that she wants her new Fenty luxury fashion line to make women feel “confident” as she gets set to unveil her collection in Paris.

The 31-year-old Barbadian singer (AKA) Robyn Fenty has linked up with the powerful and mighty fashion house, LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton) to launch a new fashion collection under her own real surname “Fenty.”

Rihanna is hoping that her highly anticipated new fashion collection will inspire confidence into women of all ages as she prepares for her launch in Paris next week.

Chatting to leading British fashion magazine, Vogue, Rihanna said: “I often walk into stores and I’m like, ‘I love this, but I wish it was more like that, or in a different colour or in a different fabric’ – and now I get to do it. I love strong silhouettes, and for women to look confident, that’s what I want to achieve with this collection.”

Rihanna, took inspiration from her own mother’s styles to create her new Fenty collection claiming to her credit her mum Monica for helping to shape her style which took two years to create.

The ‘Umbrella’ singer said: “I always had a love of fashion and style. I loved everything my mum wore, from her make-up to her clothing. My mother, Monica’s own style was bad ass. She wore a lot of oversized stuff but still very feminine, I just wanted to be her.” Rihanna’s new Fenty fashion collection will also have ready-to-wear accessories that will include sunglasses, jewellery and shoes that will reflects the singer’s own day to day styling”.

She went on to say: “There is huge diversity in my collection, which you will see as the new pieces come out, because that’s my style. I’m all over the place, in sweats one day and a dress the next. I like to wear men’s clothes, I don’t like to say, ‘It’s a man’s thing or a woman’s thing. I hope men and women just wear it because they love it.”

The first instalment of her new Fenty fashion collection with LVMH (Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton) will go on sale this coming Wednesday 29th May 2019 at her clothing website, Fenty.com. The second instalment with drop later in 2019.
