Michelle Pfeiffer launches her own perfume line. A project over a decade in the making, Michelle Pfeiffer has launched a new fragrance line that is clean, discloses 100% of the ingredients used in the formulas and is verified safe.
Pfeiffer was inspired to create her own perfume brand, Henry Rose, after struggling to find a fragrance that was attractive in scent, but also made ingredient safety a priority.
In a interview with ELLE, Pfeiffer revealed why she decided to make a clean perfume line, saying: “Ultimately I stopped wearing fragrance for about 10 years. Nine years ago, I decided that I was going to try to develop my own, because I missed wearing fragrance. I approached a lot of big cosmetic companies, but they were really dead ends. It was just not going anywhere, so I forgot about it.”
“I finally decided to create a line that could compete with other premium fragrances in the marketplace, but was fully transparent with its ingredients and didn’t feel like a compromise.”
With Henry Rose, the American actress introduces not one, but five genderless scents: Fog, Jake’s House, Last Light, Torn and Dark as Night.
The fragrances have all received a GOLD Level verification by Cradle to Cradle, with a PLATINUM LEvel verification in the Material Health category.
Each bottle retails for $120 at henryrose.com.
