Gucci to open temporary Décor store in Milan. Gucci is opening a temporary Décor store in Milan to coincide with Salone del Mobile.
The two-level space will highlight the luxury fashion house’s latest offering of houseware, including furniture, porcelains and antiques.
The store is lavishly decorated with Gucci patterns and prints. Floral designs are prevalent on the likes of the chaise lounges, dinner plates and velvet chairs.
To compliment the furniture, details such as a marble fire place and coffered ceiling have been added, “lending it the feel of a grand home.”
The Italian fashion brand have also created an app feature which allows users to explore 16 historic places in the city, with different Décor pieces pop up on screen as virtual oversized sculptures.
Customers can also use the app to virtually place items in their own personal environments in order to imagine what the furnishings would look like in their own space.
The temporary Milan store will remain open until June.
Gucci’s Décor collection is also available to shop in selected retailers, as well as Gucci’s boutiques and online.
