Lana Condor opens up about battling an eating disorder. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before actor Lana Condor has recently opened up about battling with an eating disorder and body dysmorphia in a new interview with Elle Canada.

She started off by saying she doesn’t understand why women feel ashamed of their imperfections. “”I look at my friends, and I’m like, ‘You’re f**king gorgeous.’ But they feel like they’re fat and ugly. I don’t know how this happened, that women feel like they need to apologise [for their physical imperfections].”

The 21-year-old then confessed that she, like so many other girls, felt the need to maintain a certain body image.

When she was younger, the actress trained to be a dancer and suffered from an eating disorder and body dysmorphia.

She told ELLE Canada: “”I know what it’s like to have an eating disorder and body dysmorphia – and also what it’s like to be a friend to someone who has that. I think it’s time to give people comfort. You have to eat. You have to stop thinking that a certain body shape is ideal, because it’s not.”

Now, Condor has a healthy relationship with food and celebrates her positive relationship any chance she gets. “That’s why I literally post about every meal I eat.”

A quick scroll through her Instagram shows the actor tucking in to everything from fish and chips, to oysters to breakfast bagels.
