Kate Bosworth reveals who inspired her interest in fashion. American model and actress, Kate Bosworth’s love for fashion started at a young age when her father, Harold, would take her to work with him. The 34-year-old actress “developed an eye” for extravagant garments as a child, when she would go to work with her father, Harold – who used to work for the former CEO of Burberry, Rosemary Bravo – as he would ask her about her opinion on certain items. Speaking to ES magazine, the ‘Blue Crush’ star said: “He would bring me to work. He’d ask me what prints I responded to; I developed an eye for things like that. ” And Kate has revealed as she has grown up she has sparked up a great friendship with other designers, including Fernando Garcia, who is the creative director of Oscar de la Renta. The blonde-haired beauty enjoys having a “close relationship” with creative masterminds. She said: “I’m very true to myself and I like having direct relationships with people; I have close relationships with a lot of designers. “The only thing I know how to do is to be very honest with my own voice and influence the world.” The ‘Before I Wake’ star – who is married to fellow actor Michael Polish – has admitted boasting a successful career in the entertainment business can be a struggle, as she has claimed there are “isn’t much opportunity”. Speaking about her career, she said: “There really isn’t much opportunity. It’s so limited. You’re lucky if you’re able to make a living as an actor. I’ve tried to be as true to myself as I can be, with the opportunities that I’ve had. So, if there were moments, or years, in which I went away for a minute that’s not because I didn’t want to work, but probably because I wasn’t happy with the opportunities.”
