As Murray-Mania reached dizzying heights on Sunday, two of Britains most famous fashion icons arrived just as the sun came out. Kate Middleton and Victoria Beckham. Kate arrived with her sister Pippa in tow to take their centre court seats at the Royal Box. Predictably Kate recycled an outfit but mixed and matched her dress, jacket and box clutch from different events to create a new look. Staying true to the light, neutral palette she has favoured so far, she wore a cream, scoop neck shift dress from her North American tour last year, pairing it with a cream, tweed jacket, both by British designer Joseph. She added a touch of animal print for a contrast in the form of a DVF leopard print box clutch. We saw the Joseph jacket last year at the Epsom Derby, paired with a Reiss's cream Peacock creation.

Pippa wore a blue, peplum style, bird print design by Project D ( Danni Minogue's label) I liked the colour, but I think Pippa could have opted for something a little more youthful in style. As usual the 'Middleton Manes' were flowing free!

Victoria arrived with a very handsome David Beckham on her arm. He looked dapper in a dark grey suit. VB, as always, used the occasion to showcase her latest collection. Her dark green and black midi dress featured a v neckline and colour block design. She paired the dress with knee high boots and a beautiful crocodile skin handbag from her own collection. Her hair extensions were pulled back into a wrapped pony tail and she framed her face with her usual over size sun glasses. Her nails were in keeping with her Autumn Winter 2012 dress and were painted a deep green.

Kim Sear, Andy Murray's girlfriend, has made quite a few headlines throughout the tournament, with many fashion commentators comparing her style to that of the Duchess of Cambridge. Not so on Sunday, Kim chose a Rouland Mouret 'Angel' two tone dress in black and cream and a Mulberry 'Bayswater' croc bag. She set off the simple outfit with some unusual wedges in orange and animal print, a far cry from the Kate's much loved LK Bennett court shoes.

Whilst most of the items are from a previous season and already sold out ( I don't need to mention Victoria Beckham's dress is new season but with a price tag that should require a health warning sign before viewing!) you will be happy to know the Duchess of Cambridge's DVF clutch is a regular feature each season and can be purchased in a variety of colours. I purchased this Pewter version in the US last year, the colour combination with the gold clasp means it can be worn with almost everything. In case anyone is wondering, yes it does hold an Iphone, anything more than money and lipgloss would be pushing it however!
