It was a beautiful night in Dublin with clear skies as 80,000 screaming fans took the roof off Croke Park as Westlife took to the stage as part of their farewell tour. After the boys finished their first song “What About Now” Sligo man Kian Egan welcoming the crowd to the biggest weekend in Westlife’s life by adding, “Ireland, you have really made the four of us feel very special indeed”

Westlife were also supported on the night by pop act "The Wanted" and twins "Jedward". In another surprise move that delighted the crowd, the guys temporarily ditched the ballads and decided to thumped out the Kings of Leon’s “Sex On Fire” followed by Robbie Williams  “Let Me Entertain You” and the Queen classic “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Westlife is certainly Ireland’s most successful boyband after clocking up 26 UK top 10 hits and 14 UK number one singles along with 7 chart-topping albums.For fans who couldn’t get tickets for tonight’s farewell show, the concert will be screened live by satellite into selected cinemas across Ireland at 8.30pm.
