Week's Best Dressed
THE RED CARPET HEREOS
Glossy, glamorous and gorgeous! It’s David and Victoria Beckham looking perfect as always on the red carpet. Victoria proves she’s the perfect spokes model for her brand by dressing in her own designs while David remains nice to look at regardless of who made his clothes. Diane Kruger is opulent, majestic and all things fabulous in an ornate caped Jason Wu creation. The matching clutch and lip colour are inspired extras! And Charlize Theron shows us how to do grown up Hollywood Glamour at the Human Rights Campaign party in a black draped gown by Acne finished off with a slick ponytail and single-strap sandals.
Hilary Rhoda lives up to her Model credentials in this stunning nude number. Incredible! Jennifer Lawrence wowed the crowds in a Marchesa Fall 2012 drop waist red lace dress at the Berlin premiere of “The Hunger Games” (although it does remind us of Blake Lively in red Marchesa not so long ago..) Lily Collins looked both beautiful and age appropriate at the LA premiere of Mirror Mirror in a tulle puffball dress complete with gilded embroidery. A slick of red lipstick brought the look to life.
PERFECT PRINTS
As effortlessly stylish as ever, Alexa Chung hosted the launch of the British designers collective in a Bella Freud slogan Je T'Aime Jane sweater, Celine Resort floral print skirt finished off with Nicholas Kirkwood loafers. She's stepping into the shoes of Carrie Bradshaw, but AnnaSophia Robb's taking it all in her stylish stride. We think SJP would be proud of this safari-print Salvatore Ferragamo frock and Diana Vickers goes down the matchy-matchy path and pulls it off perfectly. Nice work!
GIRLS ABOUT TOWN
So, as we know Jennifer Lawrence has captured our attention with her beauty and seriously impressive red-carpet outfits during her ‘Hunger Games’ promotions of late and this chic offering is no exception. The sexy Joie blouse paired with a Holmes & Yang silk skirt is a winning combination. Miranda Kerr is sizzling in her version of workwear and Mollie King proves you’ve either got it or you don’t as she manages to make a simple red dress look like a million dollars!
January Jones looked straight off the set of Grease in a turquoise pencil skirt topped off with a leather biker jacket at The Today Show earlier this week. The ‘Mad Men’ actress finished off her retro look with Prada’s new drool worthy Pyramide bag! Sarah Jessica Parker modelled a green and blue silk patchwork gown with a quilted bag and black courts as she headed out to a glam event in NYC and Katy Perry continues blue parade as she exits the Montana club in Paris.
OFF-DUTY BEAUTIES
Elizabeth Olsen goes off-duty by layering a leather vest over a silk blouse and colour-matching her wide-brimmed fedora to her skinnies and brogues. Beautiful, stylish and talented! Life really isn't fair sometimes. Model Miranda Kerr proves she never has an off day as she dressed up her denim mini with a crisp black blazer and a navaho print Isabel Marant top and Charlize Theron shows us how to do street chic, the silver screen starlet way.
Another Woman who never has an off day is Jessica Alba. Here she is working skinny scarlet Alice + Olivia jeans topped off with a loose multi-coloured striped Amanda Uprichard sweater and perspex sunnies by Dolce & Gabbana. January Jones radiates Hollywood glamour in this stunning powder-blue military style coat dressed up with a fur trim and if you need a lesson in flawless off-duty style, look no further than this gorgeous get-up from Zoe Kravitz. Some people were just born with it!
Mum-to-be Sienna Miller showed off her pregnancy style in a striped Breton top and skinny jeans topped with a textured wool cape. Her booties and studded handbag remind us she’s hasn’t lost her rock chick edge. Only Nicola Roberts could make zingy zig-zag leggings and a see-through knitted sweater look nice together and Taylor Swift modelled a pretty peach sundress in LA, accessorised with a string of pearls and black velvet slippers.
