The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has nabbed the coveted top spot on Vanity Fair’s annual international best - dressed list for 2012. The newest member of the royal family will also appear on the cover of next month’s edition of the magazine after wowing fashion insiders with her ability to effortlessly mix high street and designer pieces while attending royal engagements.
Taking home fashion gold: Kate MIddleton
Kate, 30, is not the only royal being honoured by the fashion bible, her brother in law Prince Harry also makes an appearance on the list. Her husband, however, will not feature. The complete compilation will be revealed, in full, in the much anticipated September issue of the publication.
Ms. Middleton has received high praise from the fashion world for showcasing British designers such as Jenny Packham, Alice Temperely and Alexander MQueen. She is also known for her love of high street labels such as Zara, LK Bennett and TK Maxx, thus making her all the more deserving of the accolade.

Taking the number two spot on the list is American actress, Jessica Chastain, while third place goes to New York based photographer, Bill Cunnigham, 83.

The Vanity Fair best – dressed compilation is voted for by over 2,000 of the world’s most influential fashion insiders including; taste-makers, journalists and best-dressed Hall of Fame members.
