Back in May the news of Naomi Campbell’s rival model casting show, The Face, was revealed and now almost three months later we have team addition news. Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha have both signed on to join Naomi Campbell on the judging panel. Rather than simply judging the girls photographs at the end of each challenge, each judge will be given their own group of models to mentor and guide through the various challenges and projects throughout the course of the show.

Despite the fact that Naomi herself was announced to front the show, the reaction was luke warm at best, which really can’t have been so surprising for the show creators as viewing numbers for Tyra Banks ANTM show continue to fall explaining The Face’s different format.

Coco Rocha wrote about her upcoming role on her blog, saying; “As the youngest mentor of the three, I have looked up to Naomi and Karolina my entire career and am ecstatic to be able to work side by side with them on this amazing new project. As mentors to the girls, we hope to impart valuable lessons and skills that will help them through their challenges, giving them an accurate idea of what it takes to have a career as a model and be the face of a brand.

The merits of this new addition to the model casting reality world seem to have a lot more strength. Three super model mentors versus a panel of pop culture judges. Only time (and viewing figures) will tell if super models will make for a successful reality.
