Alexander Wang can once again take a bow for pioneering a trend and firmly putting sportswear on the fashion radar. He’s made American sportswear sexy! And (one) of the best things about it...you don’t have to go designer to sport it. Think layered, comfy, and lycra! Now you don’t have to abandon your girlie ways because as Carrie Bradshaw has shown us throughout SATC, slouchy jumpers, baggy tees, leggings, midi flowy skirts, cropped capris, AND heels can make the most inspiring of outfits.

Victoria Beckham has also taken a shine to the sport side in her SS12 collection, shown in New York during autumn’s Fashion Week. Who knew Posh wanted to get sporty?

So what will we be seeing more of? Block colours, neon piping, lots of jersey, varsity jackets, cropped capris, and luxe joggers. A good place to start is getting yourself a pair of grey jersey track pant, this single piece of clothing will carry you right through the trend, and all that’s required is a pair of cute court heels.
