Sarah Jessica Parker has been chosen to front the cover of Elle's November issue celebrating Women in Hollywood and in an exclusive interview with the magazine she said she highly doubts she'll tackle another Carrie Bradshaw-esque role or fashion related film.
“I don’t love the idea of playing another woman who loves fashion and is slightly flawed in New York City," the fashion maven said. "I loved Carrie, and I don’t want to do the poor man’s version of her. And while those are often the lucrative things to do, it’s more reason to look in the other direction.”
It's a wise choice for Parker to make a conscious move away from her most famous role. As her other films such as I Don't Know How She Does It and Did You Hear About The Morgans were critical flops she could easily choose to take a gamble and play to typecast. However devoted SATC fans who've been through six stellar seasons of SATC and two films would never accept an inferior Carrie. Any role remotely resembling the iconic Bradshaw will simply be as the actress put it, a poor man's version.

Shirley McLaine, Susan Sarandon and Octavia Spencer were some of the other actresses honoured in the magazine for their contribution to the film industry in the fashion bible's 19th annual Women in Hollywood feature.
The November issue hits the stands on October 16th.
