Treat Your Beauty Kit To Revlon Nail Art Neons
Having pioneered the use of opaque pigments within nail enamel back in 1932, Charles Revson’s long-wearing, colour-rich glossy formulas remain the blueprint for nail lacquers worldwide over 80 years later. Whilst, the line which included Revlon Red, possibly the most iconic of all nail shades, sparked the trend of creating ‘seasonal’ shades. In celebration of its hallmark birthday, Revlon are introducing their Nail Art collection, dual chambered glass bottles of nail enamel. Combinations come in four categories, funky french mani remixes, crackle combos, neon nails and moon candy finishes. Each pairing offers two ways to customize your mini masterpieces!
Our favourite is the Nail Art Neons collection! The line features eight shades: Ultra Violet, Neon Light, High Voltage, Hot Hue, Groovy Green, Fuchsia Shock, and Electric Blue. What is interesting about these polishes, however, is that they are actually sheer neon colours that come with a white base coat. You simply lay down two coats of the white base and then slather your chosen shade on top. The result is pure neon colour! The Nail Art Neons collection will be available in July at Revlon counters and selected stores nationwide and we suggest stocking up since they’re limited edition.
The eight shades include Electric Blue, Ultra Violet, Pink Glow, Hot Hue (red orange), Neon Light (yellow), Groovy Green, Fuchsia Shock and High Voltage (yellow orange).
Hot tips: work quickly. Apply the primer base in three strokes — side, other side, middle — and don’t worry about slight streaking. Give the base a minute to set, then apply the colour in three strokes as well. Again, don’t worry about streaking; you’ll fix it with the second three-stroke application of colour. Neon polish dries matte. Finish with topcoat for added durability as well as brightness.
We can't wait to try these! Can you?
Revlon’s Nail Art perfect pairs fuse trendy shades with a creative and fun finish in one product. This product is gentle on your nails and easy to remove, with a fool-proof application. Revlon nail expert, Leeanne Colley, loves the collection for its versatility, saying “it gives women an outlet to express their personalities have fun and make statement through creative nail art”.
