Pink Blazers
Finding the perfect piece of outerwear for cool spring days and breezy summer nights is often a source of great frustration (for us, anyway). While it’s fine to choose a classic option, like a trench or cardigan, our favourite solution is the blazer. They can be added to your outfit as a smart touch or also offer the laid-back look perfect for the spring weather. While classic blacks and greys will never go out of fashion spring 2012 trends offer you the chance to add some colourful and versatile cover-ups to crown your casual chic or party outfits.
When I spotted this picture online I fell in instant love with this Hot Pink Blazer. (Also very jealous of this girl's hair too, and bag, and legs - I could go on.) The pink Blazer is the perfect anecdote to any dull outfit, simply pull it on over a casual dress or with your favourite pair of jeans for that weekend look with a twist. One of the reasons I felt this story was particularly relevant is because bright blazers were not just a big spring trend but are huge for fall as well. So if you feel like buying a blazer now, know that you can use it well into next season too.

Although this particular blazer from Zara has sold out online, there are some great alternatives around to choose from, FOREVER 21 offer the most affordable and near identical version, while H&M can't be beaten on colour or fit. RIVER ISLAND also offer a great pink blazer this season in a more cropped style as one of our facebook followers Emma pointed out (Thanks Emma!). For petite girls ASOS offers the perfect solution in a style that won't swamp your frame. If you are looking to invest a little bit more then take yourself straight to Net-A-Porter.com where PREEN and ELIZABETH AND JAMES offer the most drool worthy options on the net.
After alot of searching I eventually tracked down her adorable white summer dress from a fantastic website called QUEENS WARDROBE for €45, It's packed with tons of great pieces and well worth checking out! For an alternative take on the look I've also chosen this pretty lace dress from H&M for just €25. Unfortunately her clutch bag, which is from a website called Westrags has also sold out, but this adorable tan & pink spotted clutch from Topshop is a really sweet substitute. Finish off with some flat nude pumps like this classic T-Bar pair from Miss Selfridge and you have the perfect Spring/Summer look that will take you anywhere.
If bold colours aren’t your thing then the pastel blazer may be the one for you. Nicole Richie stepped out in a blush coloured blazer paired with sequined nude leggings and matching pumps last January 6 at NBC’s Television Critics Association Party. Her take on the coloured blazer trend is a far cry from the usual boho inspired outfits that she’s known for proving that she can work any look. You can copy her by pairing a boyfriend sized blazer with sequined leggings and sexy heels. Just make sure that your pants are darker to get that toned down look. Try pairing a blush coloured blazer with black sequined leggings instead for an instant slimming effect! This Version from Topshop is my favourite.
