How appropriate that the queen of Avant Garde the infamous Lady GaGa should open the Philip Treacy Fall/Winter 2012 fashion show in London last week. Gaga sang her heart out wearing a neon pink Treacy creation. As models took to the stage, the gasps of wonder and astonishment could be heard loud and clear from the awestruck audience.
The famed "King of Hats" left us all a little amazed, his collection featured a perfectly "Moudled Hand", a throwback to the Acid House era "Smiley Face" aswell as a Blood Red Masterpiece.
The kooky designs did not stop there, the jeweled piece (below) encapsulated the whole head and really made an imact, as did the this "homage to orange peel" (below). I cant resist poking fun at the creation on the far right, reminisent of a Daleck from Dr.Who, I'm not sure exactly why Treacy designed this, but I can assume a trip to the loo was out of the question for this unlucky model!
Whatever Philip Treacy's reasoning behind his creative designs, one thing is for sure this pioneering milliner is a true artist, an original and a visionary.
