It was a big day yesterday for 25 Irish national charities when Charity 25 and their patron Mrs Brown launched their €2WILLDO text campaign where people can donate by one simple text with proceeds going to 25 Irish national charities.The €2WILLDO text campaign encourages people to make one simple €2.00 text donation per month where €1.94 of every €2.00 donated is divided equally between 25 Irish national charities. BAFTA Winner, Mrs Brown (AKA Brendan O’Carroll) was on hand to kick start the proceedings and wants all people over the age of 18 years with a mobile to take part in this wonderful idea. “I’m so proud to be mother to all of these wonderful Irish Charities that do amazing work helping the people of Ireland. We will all be roaring Ireland in the next few days and spending lots of money on drink and food and for just one simple €2 which is half the price of a pint we can all do our bit to help others less fortunate than ourselves”

Unlike any other text campaign a whopping €1.94 of every €2.00 donated is divided equally between all 25 Irish national charities with no expenses or overheads to be deducted from the donation. The €2WILLDO text campaign is a €2.00 monthly text subscription service and the beauty about this type of donation is you can stop or cancel at any time. To donate all you have to do is text the words 2WILLDO to 57802 and every month you will receive a text to see if you want to continue your subscription or not, very transparent and accountable and it’s all thanks to all of the major mobile phone operators O2, Vodafone, 3 Mobile and Meteor who have waivered their normal costs so that all of the 25 Irish charities can benefit . All of this is monitored by the service provider Phonovation Ltd who have also waivered their costs , again to ensure that all charities receive maximum funding from the text campaign. A special thank you was given by Mrs Brown to  www.grantwater.ie who rapproached Charity 25 and said it would like to help cover the running costs of their annual campaign so that all the money raised goes to the 25 charities.
