Last month, H&M announced that Lana Del Rey would serve as the face of their upcoming fall ad campaign. Along with a press release came a few images of the songstress outfitted in a retro-inspired fuzzy peach sweater and matching jeans, but now the full campaign, shot by Dutch fashion photog duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, has been released and after flipping through the shots it seems that H&M has found a good match in Lana.
The campaign sees Del Rey, currently touted as a new style icon, sporting big hair and a sultry pout while modelling some of fall’s biggest trends including a peplum top, a tweedy moto jacket, pastel sweaters and printed trousers. The collection is inspired by the Fifties and centers on knitwear and tweed, with a feminine, curve-friendly silhouette. And doesn’t Lana look gorgeous!
According to press officer Victoria Chappell, the fall range is: “modern and feminine with a soft attitude. Curves and waist are important in autumn’s silhouette [and] colours include powder tones and accessories in wine red.” H&M liked the results so much that they’ve signed Lana up for a second print campaign, focused on winter fashion, expected to be released later this year.
