The 2012 MuchMusic Awards took place in Toronto last Sunday night with pop princess Katy Perry stealing the show while dressed in a see-thru outfit depicting the butterfly effect.

Perry’s racy look was her third change of the night, after she wore a black gladiator-style gown during the red carpet arrivals, a de-mure pants ensemble during the show and then she changed yet again to reveal a glittery butterfly outfit to perform her song “Wide Awake.”

But afterwards, Katy ditched the butterfly wings part of the costume to receive a trophy for Sparkiest Crotch International Artist and that’s when the trouble and embarrassment started.

Katy’s sparkly see-through suit was a little too see-thru as she performed on stage. Luckily for Perry, she was able to use her trophy which was in the shape of a long rectangular black box to shield her more private areas from the cameras. LMFAO hosted the event, and performances included Justin Bieber, Nelly Furtado, Carly Rae Jepsen, Katy Perry, LMFAO, Flo Rida and others
