Irish fashion designer, Jennifer Rothwell has been invited to launch her new SS13 Humming Bird Silk Digital Print Line at The Emerging Trends 2012 - Boston Fashion Week. The inspiration behind the SS13 Humming Bird collection came about when Jennifer visited the Paris fabric trade shows last year. Jennifer viewed hundreds of prints but was unable to source one that she loved.

CIRCLE SILK DRESS HUMMING BIRD PRINT DRESS

Jennifer knew then that it was now time to develop her own prints, a desire she had always aspired to. The Humming Bird Digital Print was designed and developed under Jennifer's direction in Dublin, and is exclusive to Jennifer Rothwell. Being, bold and adventurous whilst being vibrant and colourful, the hummingbird print displays dozens of birds flying in several directions in the bright cobalt blue sky. The main colours in the fabrication are cobalt blue, bright, wind-sorred orange and teal green.

HUMMING BIRD HIGH COLLAR JACKET WITH JERSEY POLO NIT DRESS

The bird itself consists of a beautiful array of colours, dark and pale teal colours are in the main body of the bird, the wing-sare turquoise and royal blue while the tips of the wings are a vibrant bright Wind-sorred orange.

WINDSOR RED DRAPED JERSEY DRESS

The key luxurious fabrications in the SS13 collection are, Silk Charmeuse in cobalt blue, bright red orange, silk printed jersey, leather, and viscose and poly jersey. Key silhouettes' are the circle dress, the side draped jersey dress with leather neck band detailing and the silk jersey scoop neck long dress, the leather collar silk printed shirt and the fitted tailored peplum jacket. According to Jennifer, "Everybody needs vibrant colour in their lives. Colour inspires the spirit and soul and transcends one from the doom and gloom of everyday life. In the global recession we all want to be cheered up and to escape the mundane. We can escape by the choice of clothing that we decide to wear!"
