Thanks to make up artist Ms. Lucia Pieroni the mundane task of make up removal need be a distant memory. This world famous make up artist teamed her two visions of "70's disco punk" and "The Day After the Big Night Out" to create a fab, fresh and youthful look on the runway models at the Jonathan Saunders show at London Fashion Week....showcasing her "slept in" make up look!.
Jonathan Sauders has made reference to the fact that the women he is designing for have "loosend up from their more precise and uptight beginnings".
Red wine stained lips and eyes that looked "smudged and distressed", is the look that shone through at the show. And let's face it, we have all looked a little distressed in a taxi, homebound at 3am! For this once frowed upon look to be deemed as "hot", well it just made my little fashionista heart jump with excitement!
To recreate the look its rumoured that model's were asked to apply eyeliner and mascara the night before, sleep in it and report straight back to hair and make up the next day, with their "slept in" faces untouched!!!!!!
Then, Ms. Lucia Pieroni dabbed the cheeckbones with MAC cream colour base in Luna and Hush shades, to highlight the skin and give a "gorgeous, dewy finish". Using MAC's Kohl in Smoulder, Pieroni rimmed the eyes and dabbed the pencil in between lashes, instead of using mascara, she then greased her finger and smudged that liner around the eye socket like their was no tomorrow!
To make this look appear sexy instead of trashy, Pieroni demanded that the lips be lined only in the centre of the mouth to "Keep the lips heart shaped and perfect". She used MAC Lip Pencil in Burgundy to line the cupid's bow of the mouth. This colour gave the red wine hue and worked amazingly well with the darker skin tones of the models.
