SIR PAUL IS 70 YEARS OLD TODAY

Living legend, Sir Paul Mc Cartney turns 70 today and celebrates an amazing music career that spans over seven decades. Born during the middle of the second world war, Mc Cartney arrived into this world on the 18th June 1942.

Christened, James Paul McCartney, the Liverpool legend was part of what is the most famous band in the world, The Beatles. McCartney has been described by the Guinness World Records as the "most successful composer and recording artist of all time", with 60 gold discs and sales of over 100 million albums and 100 million singles, and "the most successful songwriter" in UK chart history. At 70 he is still going strong and 2 weeks ago he closed the Diamond Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace proving he can still keep up with all the young kids of today.
