Now I know what you’re thinking!  How groundbreaking and new can florals for summer really be?  Well florals have changed over the years, in fact changed time and time again but the truth is it comes down to what you do with your florals, past and present, in order to create that fresh and feminine or edgy and androgynous look.

Of course nothing says garden-party gorgeous glamour like a floral dress.  There are some seriously amazing prints out there at the moment and remember the larger the dress size then the larger the print should be to compliment the frame and create a more flattering shape.

The ladies know how to do it well with these looks as seen with Michelle Williams' pale green and yellow print Jason Wu shift which truly flatters her porcelain skintone, and Dianna Agron's turquoise sunnies really inject energy into her Tracy Reese for Anthropologie dress. Katie Holmes printed blue number is a more relaxed take on the summer trend but no doubt as you can see it certainly works.  Now take a serious note because all of these ladies have one very important thing in common, choosing sleek black accessories and statement sunnies make their girly and otherwise blend into the background dresses into stand out, get noticed and shine brighter than the Californian sunshine pieces that will be looks forever remembered.
