E.L James, author of the cult book Fifty Shades of Grey which buzz knows no boundaries has further insured peoples continued interest. She has signed three separate partnership agreements with retail groups to create three different fashion lines inspired by her erotic tales.
"Interest in the Fifty Shades of Grey license has been extraordinary. We've worked closely with London-based global agent Caroline Mickler, along with author E. L. James and her literary agent Valerie Hoskins, to make sure that we select the right licensing and retail partners for the brand. Fifty Shades fans will be pleased to know that Briefly Stated, HYP and Freeze are creating high-end, quality products that are true to the brand, as conveyed by the books, and available soon in specialty and department stores”, Carole Postal, president of CopCorp Licensing, told License! magazine. According to a rep at CopCorp Licensing - agent for the franchise in North America - Freeze Clothing has been lined up to release a line of T-shirts, hooded jumpers and knits, HYP will manufacture hosiery, garters and tights, while Briefly Stated will sell loungewear, underwear and sleepwear.
As I said this is a trilogy that knows no bounds; over 40 million copies sold; has beat previous bestsellers like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to take the fastest selling book of all time in the UK, and is currently being scripted into a Hollywood film.
