What do you think would go with these shorts, for going out and casual i'm 16 and not really sure? thank you

The shorts you have described are really popular at the moment, and thanks to their quirky mix of fabrics I would guess that a lot of people are having difficulty styling them.

As you are 16, these shorts are ideal as they’re young, fresh and on trend. Denim shorts are often associated with the beach and festivals but they can also be easily incorporated into a chic and stylish night-time look.

Likewise, for day time, by adding the right separates, these shorts will allow you to stand out from the crowd.

What I would suggest for day time is pairing the shorts with a shirt. Shorts are so often seen with tank tops and tshirts that it’s refreshing to see them matched in with something a little more modest. Similarly, a Breton navy and white striped top is a classic choice.

I am a huge fan of the evening-blazer-and-denim combo; for inspiration check out Annalynn McCord and Rachel Bilson below. While the denim is casual and fun, a structured black or white blazer over a simple, fitted top leads to a sophisticated outfit.

Keep accessories to a minimal to avoid looking like you are going to a festival (think one chunky necklace or a detailed bracelet), pair with an envelope clutch bag and a simple court shoe for evening or a pair of fresh trainers or gladiator sandals for a more casual approach.
