David Beckham has been made into a man of steel, as several 10-foot silver statues have been unveiled across New York's Manhattan. He has always been a style pioneer and icon with his daring wardrobe choices throughout the years. Including his famed hairband and catsuit phase! With his physique it is no surprise that he is the number one choice to have statues formed in his image. The figures are part of the promotion for the football star's newest underwear collection for H&M.The larger-than-life statues are also set to appear in Los Angeles and San Francisco. When I did the bus tour of New York starting in Times Square, a fifty foot poster of Beckham was on show. the tour guide assured that the full length provocative shot of the footballer - almost the size of the wall of a full building - had been causing quite a stir and in fact caused traffic congestion with female (and perhaps male drivers) pining over David Beckham pouting in his underwear. But overall, the new statues are adored by tourists who can hardly wait to pose with David and have a cheeky grab! It is a clever marketing tool that makes sure the campaign is viral worldwide due to the soaring popularity of Beckham stateside and all over the world.

The David Beckham statues are only on display until August 31st so if you want to cuddle up to David your time is limited.  Rumours are flying around that Opera star Katherine Jenkins has been doing just that with the handsome footballer, but she has ruthlessly denied that there is any truth behind the rumours. She took to twitter to try and quash the allegations which she discloses are completely unfounded.

 'Dear Twitter friends, I've read some horrible rumours on here & want u 2 know I absolutely deny I’ve had an affair with David Beckham. The rumours are very hurtful, untrue & my lawyers tell me actionable..' The songstress further said: 'I’ve only met David twice: once at the Military Awards in 2010 & on a night out in the West End in Feb 2012.' 

This isn't the first time a scandal has broke about potential infidelity on Beckham's part. But Victoria is supporting her husband and has been described by close friends as 'bemused'. With Katherine Jenkins seemingly perplexed and with Victoria and David presenting a united front there is a chance that there is no fire underneath all this smoke and that it is just a ruse. The stunning couple and have been married 13 years, despite the Rebecca Loos scandal in 2004 and now the Katherine Jenkins scandal, the marriage of the power couple seems as rock solid as the steel statues erected to mark the new underwear line for retail giant H&M modeled by David Beckham.
