He may not be as a bigger hit in the US as he used to be but when it comes to UK & Irish audiences, Simon Cowell is always a hit and we have inside information from the “Cowell camp” that Cowell intends to throw in the towel in America at the end of this US, X-Factor and return to the UK to take over the reins from Gary Barlow as the face of X-Factor for next year’s series.

With the British show now in crisis with falling viewing figures, ITV bosses realise that something has to be done quickly to stop people switching off altogether and negotiations are already underway to bring Cowell back to the UK for good. Last Saturday night's 90-minute-long episode of X-Factor , recorded a peak audience of 9.2 million viewers with last night’s  figures showing an average audience of 8.2 million. Funny enough, both figures are down on the same stage in the last series. So , will Cowell return to X-Factor or not is the question but we have it on good authority that he will be back for X-Factor UK, next year.
