Christian Louboutin 20th Anniversary Capsule Collection

In honour of Christian Louboutin’s 20th anniversary, the beloved shoe designer has created a capsule collection of 20 iconic shoe styles and six bag style that have been redesigned for today. "In France, 20 years defines a generation," the designer stated. "This is a celebration of the first generation of this brand; an anniversary of its first young adventure." And what can fans expect from the collection? The line features brightly coloured pumps, bow-adorned transparent peep-toe styles and mesh knee-high boots, as well as embellished flats, holiday sandals, feather-decorated showgirl-esque heels and crystal covered shoulder bags. The French creator has also shown his sense of humour by including a “Pilule” bag shaped as an actual capsule. Giving a new meaning to the term doctor’s bag, the shiny blue and white pill capsule even has "500 mg" stamped in red on the side, and is just one of many standout pieces from the celebratory range.

The innovation and imagination behind Louboutin's mesmerizing shoes and his utter devotion to women have impressed an influential mark on the world of design and have established him as one of the world's most visionary and important shoemakers. The latest designs are set to be launched on February 27 in the UK and will reach worldwide markets starting in March. Other events to honour Louboutin’s landmark year include a retrospective exhibition at London's Design Museum which opens this March.
