It seems that being axed from last year’s series of The X Factor USA may have been a blessing in disguise for Cheryl Cole.

Things seem to keep getting better and better for the Geordie beauty, whose latest album A Million Lights debuted at number one on iTunes.

She befriended Glee star Matthew Morrison (who plays Will Schuester) on the set of What To Expect When You’re Expecting and he was keen to have Cheryl make an appearance on the hit musical show. And now it seems it may be coming into fruition, as Jane Lynch, who plays Sue Sylvester, has said:

“There’s been talk on set of Cheryl appearing for a year or so, but it’s set to happen now. Matthew Morrison has spoken very highly of her and the younger guys on set are keen to have her on, for obvious reasons…Matthew’s chatted to her, and she seems keen. She’s the perfect Glee fit: she can sing, she can dance, and she looks good. It would be cool if she played herself.”

Cheryl seems eager to boost her career in the US, and an appearance on Glee would surely skyrocket her into the limelight.

Personally I can’t wait to see how she is received. Will her voice need much auto-tuning? Will the Glee kids be able to fathom her strong Geordie accent? What kind of character will she play, if she doesn’t play herself? And if she does play herself; why would Cheryl Cole be hanging around an Ohio high school?!

Cheryl, who celebrated her 29^th birthday in Las Vegas last Saturday, no doubt has an action-packed year ahead. One can’t help but wonder how she will slot the alleged Girls Aloud tenth-anniversary reunion into her busy schedule!
