Well things are getting very interesting in the board rooms of American Idol as there are very strong rumours that Two and a Half Men cast off Charlie Sheen may be drafted in as a new judge for the show.

CHARLIE SHEEN

Sheen could be joining Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith’s Steve Tyler as judges for the show which seems to be in some trouble with Randy Jackson yet to commit to a third season. Since the departure of Simon Cowell from the show, ratings have dipped dramatically so producers are looking for someone who could improve ratings and no better person than Sheen to bring fun and excitement to the show.

Sheen has already stated that he would be very happy to be a judge on the conditions that his "Anger Management" network FX give him the green light and also that the money is right. Sheen is also keen for his charitable causes to cash in on any deal and is quoted as saying "If the numbers move the needle and 'Idol' matches 20 percent of my weekly salary for Autism Speaks, 1/8the diabetes charity3/8 JDRF, and the Boys and Girls Club ... then the hell with it. As we say, pour the smoke." Executive producer of the show Nigel Lythgoe is very keen on signing Sheen and is quoted as saying that Charlie would be a dream signing.
