Oversize Knitwear and Trench Coats
Its a typical trend we see each Fall/Winter, but its practical and thats why I like it. Trench Coats look fab nipped in at the waist with a thin belt, this fashion tip is an easy way to show off the gorgeous figure that is often lurking under these oversized garments. Military has also been given the nod of approval this season, so by sewing some buttons/military style badges onto overzised trenches found on the highstreet, you can have an on trend must have at a fraction of the price of the catwalk rivals. Haberdashery at its best.

Skull and Crossbones
Avril Lavignes apparel line Abbey Dawn featured Skull and Crossbones as did Alexander McQueens fashion house. Its a fun trend that I like to play around with, its very rock chick so using grunge make up, smokey "just slept in my make up" eyes and red lips look super cool with this trend.

Cobalt
Possibly the most spotted trend on the catwalks this season, cobalt is huge. Not my favourite colour, but 100% on trend and a fashion must have for any self appointed fashionista. If, like me, you find the block colour a little too overpowering you can use a key accessory to make an outfit pop, for example a colbalt blue clutch.

Purple Reign
I'm delighted that my personal favourite colour has made a long awaited catwalk appearance this Fall, which means I can start to incorporate this gorgeous colour into my own Winter wardrobe (using key pieces found on the high street) of course!
Left to Right: Erdem Fall 2012 collection, Anna Sui debut collection for Winter/Fall 2012 and the beautiful Khloe Kardashian Odom incorporating the growing colour popping trend into her every day look. I think we can all relate to the sweatpants and trainers combo!!!
Tales from the Orient
Rich and vibrant oriental prints and silky fabrics provide instant glam to even the dullest wardrobe this season. If carefully accessorised this trend can show off the female form like no other trend this season.
Left to Right: Rag and Bone Winter/Fall 2012, Proenza Schouler Fall 2012, the curvy Black Eyed Pea singer Fergie looks so glam as she dons this body con oriental print dress for her birhday in Las Vagas.
Lovely Layering
Why wear 1 fabulous item when you can wear 5? Layering is the most fashionable way to stay on trend and warm and cozy during this chilly season. Layering allows for the addition and/or removal of key pieces (to suit the changable weather), this in turn allows us to feel uber comfortable, relaxed and stylish throughout the day.
Left to Right: Marc Jacobs Winter/Fall 2012, Rebecca Minkoff Winter/Fall collection 2102 and the flawless style icon of every busy momma Jessica Alba, working the layering trend as she grabs a coffee.
