Back in the late 1970s, Bumble and Bumble was just a humble New York city salon which was founded by hairdresser Michael Gordon. Now owned by Estee Lauder, the haircare hero is known for its range of luxurious products, which are famously used backstage at some of the biggest designer shows, including Burberry and Zac Posen. According to Bumble and Bumble themselves, they are coveted by 'session stylists, actors, models, fashionistas and beauty junkies'. Celebrity fans of the brand include Lily Collins, Kim Kardashian, Emma Watson, Carmen Electra, Lea Michele Blake Lively and Kesha, to name a few.
The cult favourite that ensures every day is a good hair day, created a host of innovative products to treat your tresses including curl conscious holding foam, salt texturising spray, prep sprays, de-frizzers, masks, grooming creams and volumising products that promise editorial-quality hair, and will soon have their very own counters at flagship Boots pharmacies across the country. With many Boots stores stocking a selection of both affordable and premium makeup brands from their own brands including Natural Collection and 17 to the likes of Benefit and Elizabeth Arden, they have now decided to strike the same balance with haircare products, making it easier for the consumer to purchase budget products and splash out, all under one roof. Very soon we'll all be able to stop by and visit the counter and receive expert styling advice, watch Bumble and Bumble How To styling videos on iPads in store, while purchase the products that suit each hair type without having to stop by the salon! Look out for the counters which are set to appear before Christmas 2012.
