The rumour mill went into overdrive on the weekend that power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had got hitched- however, it looks likely that they will tie the knot this Saturday.

Michael Latz, mayor of the small French village Correns, has confirmed Brangelina’s wedding plans for this weekend. After confirming their engagement in April, they have been open about their intention to wed in their lavish chateau ‘Miraval’.

Several online gossip sites had falsely reported that the A-listers had secretly said ‘I do’ but the rumour was stopped when Reuters found that no civil papers had been filed. Instead, all looks set for this weekend as Brad’s parents Jane and Bill, George Clooney and Angelina’s jeweller Robert Procop have flown in. Security has been upped with armed guards and cameras and a large tent has also been spotted in the grounds of the estate, reportedly worth $54 million.

Two £500,000 wedding rings have been commissioned by Robert Procop, who designed Angelina’s £250,000 diamond and platinum engagement ring (below). According to one source the matching rose-gold and diamond bands will have the pair’s vows engraved inside.

Meanwhile, Brad’s former love Jennifer Aniston has also revealed her plans to marry her boyfriend of over a year Justin Theroux. After meeting in 1998, Brad and Jen married in 2000 and were considered a blissfully happy Hollywood couple. Their marriage abruptly ended in 2005, at the same time Brad’s involvement with his Mr & Mrs Smith co-star Angelina was the focus of intense media scrutiny.

Fast forward 7 years and Jen appears to finally have found happiness after several high-profile relationships and endless tabloid articles on her desperate search for love.
