NYC Fashion’s Night Out kicked off in spectacular style last night with a mix of celebrities and notable faces from the fashion world out in force to support the industry at various locations across Manhattan. With so many stars hosting events during the evening – Kim Kardashian, Michael Kors, Victoria Beckham et al it’s hard for one brand to take the main focus of attention; rather it’s the big names hosting various events at Bergdorf’s, Macys and the like that interest the shoppers. Step up Bethenny Frankel, the former star of the Real Housewives of New York turned chat show host and brand mogul extraordinaire to ensure her product got maximum attention.

Bethenny was at Macy’s Herald Square to promote her new line of Skinnygirl Solutions shapewear (there’s also Skinnygirl cocktails, Skinnygirl diet and nutritional products, Skinnygirl Skincare - this girl could give Kim Kardashian lessons in squeezing the most out of your brand) and while she had a bevy of beautiful models to show off her lingerie the former reality star thought she could do a better job herself. On stage at her fashion show Frankel ripped open her blouse revealing one of her Skinnygirl creations, a black lace bra, to the astonishment and delight of her fans.

Frankel says the shapewear line is aimed at real women – and staying true to her word her models at Macys were of all shapes and sizes. She said: 'It’s lazy lingerie… you can wear it under a blazer or a cardigan and then take it off for a hot date or your husband.' Sounds good to us.
