David Beckham does tend to cause a bit of a stir when he poses without his shirt on (think H&M, billboards) and this has yet again happened by posing for Elle magazine’s latest cover.

Now he should be very proud of himself as he is the first ever solo male cover star for the fashion mag, and is sprawled across a massive 11 pages.  The shot above shows Beckham emerging from a pool in LA wearing nothing but Dior Homme jeans.

Within the magazine he explains about his baby girl Harper "It's great. I love to bite her legs, or shoulders.  It's how a baby should be.  She's so beautiful.   There's no more love for a daughter than there is a son, but it's just different.  "When they (boys) are kids you can roll them around and they fall to the sides and they pick themselves up and they're fine.  "Whereas Harper, now, she hits herself just slightly and she cries.... I still think 'Oh God, I can't believe this, I've got a girl. And to see the boys with her it's incredible.  When they walk into the room, her little face lights up."  Now you have to agree that is all pretty sweet!

When describing himself, Beckham is a lot less eager to share, saying: "How would I sum myself up? I don't know, I prefer other people to do that. Erm...a little bit shy.  I don't know what to say. I hate describing myself." 

Well I’m sure the ladies reading Elle could think of a few words to describe you if you get very stuck David!
