Alexander Wang, best known for his grungy laid-back and edgy designs has settled a lawsuit which began back in March, where two former employees sued the American designer claiming he had them working in unfit conditions. Wang's employee, Wenyu Lu claimed that she had to work sixteen hour shifts in his windowless factory, located in New York City, and that the poor working conditions made her incredibly ill. Days after Lu's accusations, another employee followed suit, vouching for the conditions as well as claiming she was working 90 hour weeks. She said that both her and Lu were fired when they applied for compensation after sustaining work related injuries.
Wang, who has collaborated with brands including Dockers, Starbucks, Sally Hansen and Gap as well as celebrities such as Azealia Banks, Santigold and models Erin Wasson and Alice Dellal denies the allegations, calling them outrageous and completely false.

Alexander Wang fans will be happy to hear that the case has been settled today. It has said found that former employee Lu was let go due to bullying other employees and the dismissal left her bitter, portraying Wang as a sweatshop owner, in hopes of turning her back on the brand with a tidy sum. Although many news articles claim that it was an undisclosed settlement for both parties.
Alexander Wang is hoping to dismiss the case quietly, so allegations don't affect his brand and he states that his factory in Chinatown are very modern with high windows and ceiling and are well lit. Case closed!
