Described as 'really practical', this both ridiculous and fabulous bag is in fact the most fashionable way of drying your towel when you go to the beach, according to fashion mogul Karl Lagerfeld.

However, style icon Alexa Chung can say she has really made it in the fashion industry, as she is now rocking a personalised Chanel hula-hoop bag all for herself. Presented with the homemade version of the classic quilted bag nestled between two hula-hoops on Anderson Cooper’s show this week, Chung instantly took a photo of the TV host with the bag for her personal Instagram account.

Although the bag won’t go on sale for months (it hasn’t even gone into production yet!), Anderson Cooper showed us that this bag is the perfect DIY project and we all secretly wish he’d presented us with one instead of the fabulous Alexa Chung who was on the show to cast a very knowledgeable eye on the over-the-top design.

Alexa, who was co-hosting the show with Cooper loved the bag, saying “It's amazing, I was reading about this and I think Karl Lagerfeld called it 'a very practical piece'. It seems like a buoyancy aid too, you could really pad it out."

It even has her initials on the area where the interlocked C’s usually are. With that, we can already imagine that hula hoop sales are going to soar this season!
