Congratulations to Adele and her partner on the birth of their baby boy!

The Someone Like You singer and her charity worker partner Simon Konecki became parents last week, a mere four months after Adele announced the news in an official statement on her website. This announcement came seven months after she started dating Simon Konecki back at the start of this year and since has been forced to deny rumours that he proposed to her on her 24th birthday.

In June when Adele Atkins announced the news, she said, “I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.”

The singer who won six Grammy awards in February this year is taking time away from singing to concentrate on her relationship with Simon and may not be back for a while following the birth of their son. “I am f***ing off for four or five years. If I’m constantly working, my relationships fail. At least now I can have enough time to write a happy record and be in love”.
