The Grammy winner, Adele, has already had such a memorable year and now she is left with more to celebrate, as she tells her fans in this announcement :

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon [Konecki] and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx"

Adele announced this on her website under a post titles "I've Got Some News". The "Someone Like You" singer met Konecki in the U.K. last Summer, and they have been together ever since. The couple went public with their relationship in January and the divorced father of one also accompanied her at the Grammys. Not long after the grand event, the star told People magazine "I really want to be a mum", saying she wanted three sons by the age of 30. "I better start getting on with it!" the singer/songwriter commented, exciting fans further in February when she told US Vogue that she was "f***ing off for four or five years", in order to concentrate on her relationship. The mother-to-be has been greeted with warm wishes from bloggers all over the internet, with Perez HIlton posting a big "Congratz gurl!!!!".

I have no doubt that she will make an excellent mother and the world waits with bated breath for her more than likely baby-inspired next album!
